Company History

Smarter Communities has a proven history in the property industry and is at the forefront of service innovation. Having been in the industry for more than four decades, Smarter Communities was first listed on the Australian Stock Exchange on 19 December, 1994 under the name “Australian Institute of Property Management”. At this time the company’s main service lines were property management and strata title management.

In 2009, after a name change to Vesture, the company sold its interests in property management to focus on its core business of strata title management. Since this time, Smarter Communities’ dedication to quality service and its highly skilled team of over 200 professionals has seen continual growth through both acquisition and organic growth. Smarter Communities now comprises five of Australia’s largest and most prestigious strata title management companies – Adelaide Strata and Community Management (SA), Challenge Strata Management (QLD), Ernst Body Corporate Management (QLD), Strata Title Management (NSW & QLD), and Victoria Body Corporate Services (VIC).

In 2017, Vesture changed its name to Smarter Communities to better reflect our new direction and vision to deliver smart solutions to create a better lifestyle for people living and invested in communities. Our smarter journey is both internally and externally focused where we are committed as a business to invest in innovative technology and solutions to deliver benefits to everyone.
